Your Name/Kimi no Na wa Dominates Japan's DVD/Blu-ray Sales In Two Consecutive Weeks
Makoto Shinkai's Super hit Anime Film has been setting Records since its release in Japanese theaters . "Your Name" film released in Japan on August 26, 2016, and earned 25.03 billion yen from its domestic run, becoming the second-highest grossing film of all-time in Japan.Not just the theaters , "Your Name" has also become a record-breaking title in Japan's DVD/Blu-ray market . The Film's blu-ray edition made its sensational debut previous week , while holding the sales record this week also.
According to Oricon's Latest Sales records the DVD kept its no. 1 position in overall sales chart.Meanwhile all three editions of Blu-Ray ranked under top 10 for two consecutive weeks. The sales number of the discs in mere two weeks reaches 715,000 units. The Film's both Blu-Ray and DVD versions are reckoned to be top selling anime disc's of this year.
"Your Name." DVD/Blu-ray first week sales (July 24-30)/second week (July 31-August 6)
- Blu-ray standard edition - 202,000 units/25,000 units (227,000 units)
- Blu-ray collector's edition 4K Ultra HD - 126,000 units/6,000 units (132,000 units)
- Blu-ray special edition - 94,000 units/7,000 units (101,000 units)
- DVD standard edition - 216,000 units/39,000 units (255,000 units)
