Shrey here back again to give my thoughts on the third episode of the ongoing series Hajimete no Gal. Ok so this is going quite unexpected for me.The first episode set the tone in such a way that I expected this series to be another Harem/perverted nonsense with gibberish writing and characters trying to be funny but this is not what's been happening lately.After a weak first episode,the second one made a great comeback with making the plot a little bit serious where Junichi starts doing normal stuffs(like hanging out and not what's going on in your head) with his newly made alluring girlfriend Yukana san whom ,I have actually grown to like as a person ofcourse keeping her beauty aside.
The third episode continues with the same pace and tone,introducing a new character Honjou Ranko ,a short haired sun-tanned tom boyish girl who writes a love letter to Junichi and asks him to meet her after school.Things went downright difficult for Junichi as Ranko san starts seducing him and forcefully tries taking his virginity when they are caught by Yukana who by seeing a frightening look on Junichi's face asssures him that Ranko is her childhood friend and an year older than them and obviously just fooling around as she would never cheat on her friend. But ofcourse there is more to that then meets the eye.
You see Ranko has other ideas in her mind and when alone she does exclaim that she will destroy both of them that obviously being Yakuna and Junichi . You would probably think she hates Yakuna or just jealous of her but it turns out quite unexpected which I'm not gonna spoil.
This episode also contrasted on Junichi's character.That he is not just a desperate virgin and a pervert who would sleep around with anyone or anywhere.This indeed makes Hajimete no Gal different in its genre which I'm loving it thus far.Mixing harem, ecchi with a serious going plot where characters are developing is a rare sight because let's face it . People watch such anime's for just one thing which we all know.
Glad to know someone is taking it in a different direction and so I'm really looking forward to the next episode. And ya this one also ends in a cliff hanger with attention being given to a character I wasn't expecting to get.
