Fate/Apocrypha Episode 2 The Appearance Of the Saints Review

Fate/Apocrypha Episode 2 Review

Fate/Apocrypha Episode 2 The Appearance Of the Saints started with our Main Character Ruler aka Jean D'Arc who was captured by Soldiers and Later Burned at Stake.(Rulers Past Memories of her death). Well if you guys haven't watched the First Episode of the Series then Check Out My In Depth Review of the First Episode so that you can know everything about Fate/Apocrypha up till now. Getting back to the topic , Ruler is the 15th Servant summoned by the Great Grail itself to See through the whole Great Grail War and Act as a judge between the Black and Red teams , participating in the Great Grail Wars. After seeing the past memories of Rulers death , we finally got to see the Black teams servants with some of their masters . In this episode it felt Nostalgic as the black team Rider Astolfo, the Twelfth Paladin of Charlemagne was as energetic and cheerful as( Alexander the Great, Al-Iskandar, The Lord of War, the Maharaorajah.The King of Conquerors who almost ruled the world.)the Rider of Fate/Zero summoned by Velvet Waver. Astolfo introduced herself to the other Servants , it was a great scene as we got to know that some of the masters of the Black team were discrete about their servants . It was like a sign of hostility. 

                                  In Episode 2 we also got to see black team's Berserker Frankenstein, Frankenstein's Monster Noble Fantasm , it was a lightning attack with a large scale destruction which also consumed a lot of Mana. Overall the first half of Episode 2 was like a Introductory part about the Black Teams master and their servants . Well if you don't know about the 14 Servants (Both Black and Red Teams Included) then click of this .It Includes all the 14 servants with their names . One thing in this episode that I liked the most was, the masters of the same teams were aware that they have to fight a decisive battle among themselves . They had their own plans and Strategy for the upcoming battle . Overall I am trying to say that they didn't had mutual trust.We also got a glimpse of Sieg in this Episode , he was still in a life Support Chamber as the other Homunculs.

                               

                                   In the second half Red Team's Sisigou Kairi Master of Mordred, The Knight of Treachery(Saber Class Servant) went to the church to see Kotomine Shirou Master of Semiramis, Wise Queen of Assyria(Assasin Class Servant)  , now this was interesting to see because Shirou Disclosed his servant name while Mordred had a bad vibe about Shirou and so do Sisigou . Therefore he didn't mentioned Mordred name to Shirou , even when he left the church he made sure that he was followed by Shirou's Servant . This reveals that as the Black team the red team masters are also cautious and Hostile to Each other. Later after Sisigou left the church Shioru and Semiramis talked about preparations regarding  

some rituals , although we din't get to know about the ritual but we did got to see two more servants of the red team :-

• Berserker of Red -Spartacus, the Gladiator .  

• Caster of Red - Shakespeare, the Playwright. 

 

In the end of the episode we finally got to see some Action between a group of Homunculus with Golems from the Black team and Sisigou with his servant Mordred .The Action Scenes were great, not Only Mordred but Sisigou also fought Valiently . With this fight we now know that Sisigou uses Modern Warfare tactics(Using Guns and Poison Grenades as Emiya Kiritsugu)  , he also has a Especial Double barrel Shotgun . Both Mordred and Sisigou managed to defeat all the Homunculus and Golems without breaking a sweat ,  which proves that they are a powerful duo. We may see a Duel between Sisigou and Mordred in Future as after seeing Sisigou fight Mordred asks Sisigou for a duel . The word of Defeat of the Homunculus and Golem group reached to the Leader of the Black team , Vlad the third (also a Lancer Class Servant) Vlad asks Siegfried saber of the Black that will he be able to defeat Mordred the Saber of the red , Siegfried assures vlad that he can defeat her. In the End of Episode 2 Shirou orders Lancer of Red Karna, Son of the Sun God. to kill Ruler as Shirou thinks that she might be a problem . Although Shirou don't has an idea about Rulers identity he thinks that she is a guy . During the conversation between Shirou and Karna Shirou states that :-

Right Now, Ruler is Moving Towards Trifas . For all of us, he is a disturbing person. Immediately destroy him.

Well after reading the above talk , you can understand that Shirou doesn't have a clue about Rulers Identity . Well this is the end of the Review , Overall the Story is going quite well , though we didn't got to see some more of Sieg but I think that we will get to know about him and ruler in the Next Episode .
